Program Description: Responsibility. Compassion.. Friendship. Self-Discipline. Respect. These are a few of the essential traits of good character. In order for young girls to develop such traits, we have to offer them examples of good and bad, right and wrong. And the best place to find those examples are at Clara’s Closet, where learning is FUN! Tea Parties. Offered to all levels of Girl Scouts. Cost: $15 each / Minimum of 8 girls A Dress-Up Tea Party is fun for all ages! At Clara’s Closet each guest is invited to create the perfect outfit by choosing from a large selection of costumes and accessories. Everyone will experience a make-up and nail polish session. A picture will be taken of each individual, which will serve as a keepsake to remind her of the special day. Once everyone is seated around the table, they will be taught the proper art of Etiquette. Tea Party Patches can be purchased through the Girl Scout Shop. Daisy Troops can earn the “Respect Myself and Others” petal. Brownies can earn the “Manners” Try-It. Petals and Try-Its can be purchased through the Girl Scout Shop.
Fashion Show. Offered to Juniors, Cadettes and Seniors. Cost: $15 each/ Minimum of 8 girls. Just for fun or earn a badge. Gather your friends and have a party to remember! Experiment with color and fashion while earning the “Looking Your Best” badge or “Fashion Design.” Learn skills, collect tips and have fun dressing up at Clara’s Closet! Each girl will show off her new look when she struts her stuff in a Fashion Show. Models will receive a photograph and have an autograph session. Personal and Social Development. Owner of Clara’s Closet, Corina Orsborn, has created a workshop for young women to learn the traits that are important and admired by others. This workshop can be used to explore and gain the skills needed to obtain requirements for the following interest projects and/or badge: “Being My Best” / “Understanding Yourself and Others” / “Conflict Resolution.” Interactive hand-outs, games and role playing are all included in this workshop. Workshops are 1 ½ hours – 2 hours. Cost: $15 each / minimum of 8. **Some badge requirements may need to be finished on your own time. Patches and Badges can be purchased at the Girl Scout Shop.
